At the heart of Croydon - Ruskin House Club

Today the House continues offering a social club with superb facilities for enjoying a quiet drink or some of the many varied activities. The social and meeting facilities have recently been made more accessible to wheelchair users and others with disabilities, with a disabled toilet and a T-loop for those with hearing aids.

Other meetings and activities include:

The Cedar Tree Playgroup, which caters for up to 30 young children every weekday morning; the Carrom League (a board game group) has a regular monthly fixture as do the Croydon Budgerigar Society, the British Koi Keepers Society and the Surrey Fighting for Animals Group (SUFFA), amongst many other groups and organisations.

This is in addition to the many Trade Union, Labour Party and co-operative movement meetings and events regularly held at Ruskin House Club.

Opening Hours

Ruskin House Bar is open every evening from 7 pm and at the weekends is open at lunchtimes from 12 noon until 3 pm.

The garden is family friendly, ideal for functions and barbecues.

Our large hall is available for private functions catering for up to 150 guests. Our lounge is suitable for up to 50 guests. Please telephone the Club for details.
